Tia Powell
Tia Powell is the Coordinator of Initiatives to Advance Indigenous Health for the Family Nutrition Program. She joined Virginia Cooperative Extension in March 2011, after working as a Dental Technician for the government, state, and civilian sector. Tia is a service-oriented educator with proven leadership, communication, fiscal, analytical, program development and problem-solving skills. She has over 20 years of experience in community outreach, military, public health, food and nutrition, local government, and education.
